Where postbags were once manufactured, tranquil, distinctive office spaces are now taking shape at the heart of the site. High-quality materials, clean lines and a roof terrace overlooking the Postbahnhof create a working environment of exceptional quality – fostering focus, collaboration and fresh perspectives.
Where postbags were once made – used to collect and transport letters – the ‘Beutel’ building now houses sheltered spaces with a unique, tranquil atmosphere. Away from the hustle and bustle of the urban environment, a place is emerging within the site that conveys a sense of security whilst radiating openness. The generously proportioned entrance area impresses with its clear structure and open passageways, creating a welcoming first impression for visitors and users.
The choice of materials plays a decisive role in shaping the building’s character: masonry, steel and timber engage in a dynamic yet harmonious dialogue. The masonry conveys warmth and substance, the steel structure stands for precision and lightness, whilst timber elements add a natural quality and enhance comfort. Together, they create an architecture that convincingly blends history and modernity.
A particular highlight within the site is the building’s roof terrace. It expands the range of uses and offers attractive spaces for short breaks, informal meetings or moments of relaxation outdoors.
With views across the site, it provides a high-quality counterbalance to the daily work routine – a place where work, interaction and relaxation come into harmony.
