HISTORY BECOMES
FUTURE

Many commercial and office properties are an important part of the historical-architectural heritage of our cities. The construction of the iconic Postbahnhof embodied a dawn of modernity. This departure is now continuing.

UNIQUE AREA

LIVING CULTURAL HERITAGE
IN ETERNAL CHANGE

At the beginning of the 20th century, a building was built that made history. Its success story as one of the most important German postal stations was followed by wars, the division of Germany and finally its closure. But it never really became quiet around the ensemble: During more than 100 years, countless conversions and extensions took place on the site. And just as many plans for renewal, extension, vitalization, and expansion remained in the drawer.

Almost 115 years after its construction, the site is now being transformed with the NEW WORK STATION into a modern, lively office location that meets the contemporary standards of "New Work". With bicycle parking, e-charging stations, roof terraces and plenty of space to benefit from the new way of working not only today, but also tomorrow and the day after.

"The Postbahnhof is part of Berlin's historical heritage, and we are pleased to be able to preserve and further develop this unique area and to create a new sought-after address for Berlin companies. The corona pandemic has shown the importance of high-quality modern office space that helps companies, and their employees work creatively and collaboratively" explains Ulf Christiansen, Head of Acquisitions Value Add at PATRIZIA.

The Postbahnhof stands for the structural quality of an ensemble that already stood for mobility, flexibility and modern communication in its time. And it has a firm place again in a working world on the move.

NEW
PERSPECTIVES

The pounding of the machines, the whirring of the conveyor belts – it's almost as if you could still hear the sounds when you look at the historic brick façade with the characteristic semicircular windows in the large courtyard of the Postbahnhof. But every look back is also a look into the present – and a new perspective on what is to come: an office building shaped from history and revived with visions for the future of working.
